Note: New Documents For Coaches/Refs:
Coaches,
I first want to thank you for your willingness to help train, mentor, and support kids in our community. It's your efforts that make the experience for kids, and their parents, good or bad. As we quickly approach games this week we still have some business to take care of.
1. Certificates of Insurance
Every coach must now have on their person a signed contract by Wenatchee School District in order to conduct a training session on school grounds. I have made arrangements with the Athletic office to secure all Elementary School sites in the Wenatchee School District. All coaches are required to have a WSD Contract in your hand if approached by a WSD representative, otherwise they will be asked to leave the premises. Contracts can either be downloaded here. They will also be available for pick up at the sportsplex.
All Middle Schools and High School practice fields are off limits and have been committed to other user groups at this time.
We have Ref's being trained are are looking forward to a great fall season. Hope all coaches have contacted and began to have practices for their teams. If you're in need of help with ideas for the younger ones the website has the U-8 and younger curriculum available to print out and use.
The WSC board thank you!
Mike Parrish
WSC President

Coaches Clinics
No matter how much
experience you have as a player or coach, you can still discover better
ways to improve each individual player's skill and technique and the overall
play of your team. Visit our player
development page to find videos, books, and websites we recommend
to help you become a better coach.
Disputes And
Complaints
Unfortunately, every season there are disagreements regarding
rules, calls (or lack of calls), other parents and/or coaches conduct
or behavior. First and foremost, don't compound the problem by becoming
part of the problem. Second, you are responsible for your parents. Under
no circumstances are coaches, players, or parents to question a ref's call or be confrontational
with an opposing coach or parent. If you know you lost your composure,
please apologize to the referee, other coach, or parent. After the game
please email Eric Slife at wenatcheesoccer@gmail.com,
so we can resolve the matter.
